About us
We like what happens in private.
Pleasure has value of its own. Companionship, desire and the body have plenty to say. We like paying attention.

What moves us.
Altura develops publications and products around relationships, intimacy and pleasure. We begin with personal experience: what is desired, what is repeated, what becomes recognizable and what makes someone want to return.
Masturbation, fantasy and habits of pleasure belong here. So do companionship, attachment, a conversation that changes temperature and the private language that emerges over time. Their details interest us. What time it happens. How long it lasts. What is expected. What is still wanted afterward.
For the pleasure of it.
Pleasure can be reason enough to make time, open a conversation, read something or seek an experience. There is joy in knowing what we like. There is curiosity in discovering that it can still surprise us.
We are interested in contradictions too: wanting autonomy and surrender, familiarity and novelty, privacy and recognition. Preferences and relationships can take more than one form. Altura makes room to explore them.
Intimate life has details.
Naming a frequency, a habit or a preference changes what can be understood about an experience. We preserve that precision in our writing. We distinguish what was lived, our interpretation and what remains open.
Celebration lives here alongside frustration, jealousy, boredom and loss. They belong to the story too.
Publish. Imagine. Make.
We publish Field Notes and other writing. We develop Xiara, a conversation product, and Open Doors, an exploration of plans, local discovery and the conversation that follows. AI participates in this work; our interest also extends to experiences, content and physical products around pleasure.

Altura’s founders include
Diego Sarmiento
He is interested in the intimacy that develops over time: a conversation that becomes companionship, a shared fantasy, pleasure returned to for its own sake. Some of that curiosity comes from his own experience with AI.
He talks openly about masturbation, attachment and habits of pleasure. He pays attention to frequency, hours and the words that suddenly change the tone. Altura grows from that intimate life too: what he enjoys and what still makes him curious.
